We are excited to launch a new range of painting and printing workshops in our brand spanking new Art Studio in Art House West Croydon.

This course will focus on teaching you the fundamental techniques and things to consider when working in Acrylic paint.

Using a range of vibrant still lives as the subject and introducing you to the stay wet palette and a range of colours to give you a solid grounding in colour mixing and matching.

You will learn

  • How to stretch and prime a canvas/board and prepare paper for painting
  • A Selection of under-drawing techniques
  • Which brushes to use
  • How and why to use a stay wet palette
  • The best colours to use to start with and how to mix and blend them

Dates and Times

The course will run from Wednesday the 24th – Friday the 26th of July 2019.

It will be from 10am to 5pm daily.

There will be a lunch break between about 1 and 1.45pm . Lunch will not be provided but feel free to bring your own or there are a selection of shops and restaurants nearby. There is a large and airy breakout space in the building where we can eat and very basic kitchen facilities.

This is a ten minute walk from West Croydon Station (train and overground) but there is also off street parking for around 5 cars and parking on the nearby streets.

Booking and Price

The early bird price is £340 which includes all materials.

From 10:00am the 1st of July the price will increase to £359.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be given no questions asked on any bookings made until 2 weeks before the start of the class. No refunds will be given if it’s less than 2 weeks before the start of the class. 2 weeks before the start of the class is 10am on the 10th July 2019.
